Volvo Engine D12D AE E3 (Tier 3) Fault Code: SID3 FMI 3 Injector #3
DETECTION CONDITIONS:
The engine control unit (E-ECU) registers:
1. Injector activated.
2. Voltage too high on injector’s low-voltage side. (EA28/EA32)
SYMPTOM:
1. Low power.
2. Engine runs rough/varying engine speed.
3. Abnormal sound.
4. 3- or 5-cylinder operation.
5. Injector in question, or entire injector bank, is shut off.
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
1. Short-circuit between high-voltage and low-voltage side.
2. Short-circuit to Ubat in cable harness to injectors’ low-voltage side.
