Volvo Engine D12D AE E3 (Tier 3) Fault Code: SID1 FMI 5 Injector #1
DETECTION CONDITIONS:
The engine control unit (E-ECU) registers:
1. Injector activated.
2. Open circuit.
3. Current too low. (EA20/EA24/EA59/EA62)
SYMPTOM:
1. Low power
2. Engine runs rough/varying engine speed.
3. Abnormal sound.
4. 3- or 5-cylinder operation.
5. One or three injectors are shut down.
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
1. Short circuit to higher voltage (high side; SV/NCV).
2. Short circuit to lower voltage (high/low side; SV/NCV).
3. Open circuit (high side; SV/NCV).
4. Defective component.
