PACCAR MX (2004 Emissions) Fault Code: P1564 Fuel Pressure – Data Erratic, Intermittent or Incorrect, at Ignition On
SET CONDITIONS:
The PCI ECU (D420) detects that the fuel pressure is 1.2 bar [17 psi] or more for more than 5 seconds.
DIAGNOSTIC CONDITION:
This diagnostic runs when the engine is not running and when the ignition is keyed on after it has been off for more than 60 minutes.
CORRESPONDING OBD READINESS MONITOR:
None
RESET CONDITION:
This DTC changes to inactive when the fault is no longer detected.
REPAIR VERIFICATION:
1. Clear all DTCs.
2. Test drive or operate the vehicle to meet the diagnostic conditions and set conditions.
3. Did the DTC come back? (Can be pending, inactive or active)
– No, repair successful
– Yes, repair unsuccessful
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
1. Fuel pressure sensor deviation
2. Faulty fuel pressure sensor wiring
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
1. For this diagnostic, the low-pressure fuel pressure is monitored when the engine is not running.
2. The low-pressure fuel pressure is measured by the fuel pressure sensor (F801).
