PACCAR MX (2004 Emissions) Fault Code: P1505 Vehicle Speed Sensor – Frequency Out of Range
SET CONDITIONS:
The PCI ECU (D420) detects that the frequency of the vehicle speed signal is above 1500 Hz.
DIAGNOSTIC CONDITION:
This diagnostic runs when the vehicle is moving.
CORRESPONDING OBD READINESS MONITOR:
None
RESET CONDITION:
This DTC changes to inactive when the fault is no longer detected.
REPAIR VERIFICATION:
1. Clear all DTCs.
2. Test drive or operate the vehicle to meet the diagnostic conditions and set conditions.
3. Did the DTC come back?
– No, repair successful
– Yes, repair unsuccessful
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
1. Vehicle speed sensor
2. Vehicle speed sensor wiring
3. Vehicle speed sensor pulse wheel
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
1. The PCI ECU receives the vehicle speed signal from the vehicle speed sensor.
2. The vehicle speed signal is a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal.
3. The vehicle speed sensor is an OEM part.
