Detroit DD16 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 3509 FMI 4 (MCM) 5V Sensor Supply Bank 1 Circuit Failed Low

DESCRIPTION:
This code sets when the motor control module (MCM) detects a short to ground on pins 58 or 117.

MONITORED PARAMETER:
5V internal power supply.

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
Always enabled

MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Always enabled

TYPICAL DURATION:
Two seconds

DASH LAMPS:
1. MIL
2. CEL

ENGINE REACTION:
None

VERIFICATION:
Engine Idle: One minute.

PROBABLE CAUSES:
Short to power from the MCM pins to a sensor:
1. Pin 58, charge air cooler outlet pressure sensor.
2. Pin 102, charge air cooler pressure sensor.
