Detroit DD15 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 411 FMI 4 (MCM) Exhaust Gas Recirculation Delta P Sensor Short to Ground

DESCRIPTION:
EGR delta pressure sensor circuit low.

MONITORED PARAMETER:
EGR delta pressure sensor.

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
Always enabled

MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Always enabled

TYPICAL DURATION:
2 seconds

DASH LAMPS:
1. MIL
2. CEL

ENGINE REACTION:
Derate 25%

VERIFICATION:
Engine Idle: One minute.

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. EGR delta p sensor failure.
2. EGR delta p connector/harness.
3. EGR delta p pressure ports blocked.
4. EGR valve failure.
5. Inspect the EGR crossover tube and mixer pipe for excessive buildup. If excessive, replaced the EGR cooler.
6. Inspect EGR system for leaks/damage/issues.
