Detroit DD15 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 3251 FMI 0 (ACM) Diesel Particulate Filter Pressure Out of Range Very High
DESCRIPTION:
This fault code sets when the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) Inlet Pressure is 35 kPa (5 psi) greater than the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Outlet Pressure for more than 10 seconds.
MONITORED PARAMETER:
DOC Inlet Pressure sensor and DPF Outlet Pressure sensor.
TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
Always on
MONITOR SEQUENCE:
None
EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Continuous when enabling conditions met.
TYPICAL DURATION:
Two seconds
DASH LAMPS:
1. MIL
2. CEL
3. SEL
ENGINE REACTION:
Derate 25%
VERIFICATION:
Run engine between 1200 to 1800 rpm with a load less than 10%.
PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. Inspect all connections upstream of the MCM – DPF inlet pressure sensor, ATD harness 10-pin connector, VIH 31-pin connetor, and MCM 120-pin connector.
2. DPF inlet pressure sensor.
3. DPF inlet pressure hose.
4. Perform parked regen.
5. Inspect DPF for excessive soot, oil, or coolant.
