Detroit DD13 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 100 FMI 0 (MCM) Oil Pressure Stuck

DESCRIPTION:
This fault code sets when the engine oil pressure is higher than a calibrated pressure for the specific rpm.

MONITORED PARAMETER:
Engine oil pressure.

TYPICAL ENABLING CONDITIONS:
Always on

MONITOR SEQUENCE:
Key on engine running.

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Continuous when enabling conditions are met.

TYPICAL DURATION:
Two seconds

DASH LAMPS:
CEL

ENGINE REACTION:
1. None.
2. Engine derate or engine shut down.
3. Calibration dependent.

VERIFICATION:
While the engine is at normal operating temperature, road test performing several decelerations.

NOTE: If diagnostic leads to a mechanical (Non-electrical) low oil pressure conditions, all mains and connecting rods should be inspected.

NOTE: If 100-3 is active as well, fix 100-3 first.

NOTE: If 100-4 is active as well, fix 100-4 first.

PROBABLE CAUSES:
If oil pressure is fluctuating:
1. Oil level low or high.
2. Faulty oil gauge.
3. Cracked or loose oil pump suction pipe.
4. Loose drive or driven oil pump gear.
5. Fault oil pressure relief valve.

PROBABLE CAUSES:
If oil pressure is low but stable:
1. Fuel in oil.
2. High oil level.
