Cummins ISX11.9 CM2250 (2010-12) Fault Code: 2765 PID: SID 392 SPN: 2797 FMI: 13 Engine Injector Bank 1 Barcodes- Out of Calibration

Circuit Description
Each fuel injector has a specific barcode. This barcode data contains information specific to each individual injector. The ECM uses this information to adjust fueling and allow the engine to run more smoothly.

Component Location
The injector bar codes can be read directly from the injector body. The injector bar codes that are entered into the ECM can be accessed with INSITE? electronic service tool.

Conditions for Running the Diagnostics
This diagnostic runs continuously when the keyswitch is in the ON position.

Conditions for Setting the Fault Codes
The ECM detects that the injector barcode values have not been programmed or were programmed incorrectly into the ECM.

Action Taken When the Fault Code is Active
The fault code becomes active immediately when the ECM recognizes that the injector barcode parameters are not adjusted correctly.
Conditions for Clearing the Fault Code
To validate the repair, perform a key cycle, and leave the key in the ON position for 1 minute.
The fault code status displayed by INSITE? electronic service tool will change to INACTIVE immediately after the correct injector barcode values have been entered with INSITE? electronic service tool and the diagnostic runs and passes.
The ?Reset All Faults? command in INSITE? electronic service tool can be used to clear active and inactive faults.

Each fuel injector has a specific barcode. The barcode data contains specific injector information. This barcode information needs to be entered into the ECM with INSITE? electronic service tool. If an engine is found to have incorrect injector barcode values, the correct injector barcode values must be entered. The engine symptom of incorrect barcode values can include rough idle. The factory installed injector barcode values can be found in QuickServe? Online by entering the correct engine serial number (ESN), selecting Service, and then Engine Data Plate. The correct injector barcode values for that ESN are contained in the engine dataplate section. If the engine has had a previous repair involving the replacement of injectors, the valve cover must be removed to determine the injector barcodes values on the replacement injectors. Use INSITE? electronic service tool to enter the barcode values into the ECM for this fault code to go inactive. A keyswitch cycle is required to save the barcode information in the ECM.
