Cummins ISL CM850 (2003-06) Fault Code: 2183 PID: SID 28 SPN: 1072 FMI: 4 Engine Brake Actuator Driver 1 Circuit – Voltage Below Normal or Shorted to Low Source. Low voltage detected at the engine brake solenoid number 1 signal circuit.

Possible causes of this fault code include a short circuit to ground in the engine harness, connector, or engine brake solenoids.

On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) Information:

1)The ECM illuminates the appropriate amber or red lamp when the diagnostic runs and fails.
2)The ECM turns OFF the appropriate fault lamp when the diagnostic runs and passes.
