Detroit DD13 GHG14 (2014-16) Fault Code: SPN 2791 FMI 7 (MCM) Smart Remote Actuator 3 (EGR), Failsafe Mode, Motor Off

DESCRIPTION:
The fault code sets when the motor control module (MCM) detects that the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve position is incorrect.

MONITORED PARAMETER:
EGR position error.

None

EXECUTION FREQUENCY:
Always enabled

Two seconds

VERIFICATION:
Engine idle

PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. If any voltage codes exist, fix those first.
2. EGR valve actuator pull rod.
3. EGR actuator.
4. EGR valve.
5. Wiring between the EGR actuator harness and the ECM.
